I’ve never been big into comic strips. I have an appreciation for them, but they just never appealed to me all that much. I do remember reading and enjoying Calvin and Hobbes, Garfield, Peanuts, and Family Circus, but other than that, I never gave comic strips much more thought.
My lack of enthusiasm comes across in this comic strip that I had to complete for a class assignment in the 10th grade. I made a comic strip about a missing golf ball. No doubt, I whipped it up in about two minutes, signed my name, and turned it in to the teacher just as quickly as it had landed on my desk. If I didn’t like an assignment, I couldn’t be bothered. God, I was such a smartass beginning way back when now that I think about it. It’s a modern day miracle that I made it through school.
